The Westing Game is a mystery book written by Ellen Raskin and published by Dutton on May 1, 1978. It won the Newbery Medal recognizing the year's most distinguished contribution to American children's literature. The novel follows sixteen strangers, who each receive personal invitations to rent apartments in the new Sunset Towers apartment complex, a luxurious property on Lake Michigan adjacent to wealthy businessman Samuel W. Westing's mansion. They are invited to play a game for the late Westing's fortune. A classic of children's literature, paperback is in very good condition.
